When I started attending Meadowlake Baptist Church, I felt that God was going to use me for his glory, but how he was going to use me, I did not know. Long before I truly trusted the Lord as my Savior and let Him change my life, he had began to use me. I started Totally Teen Ministries and had met some really dear friends on Paltalk, Bro Harry and Sister Dee, who had a radio and Internet ministry: YGBN, (Yates) Your Gospel Broadcasting Net Work. They began to encourage me and mentor me in the faith. They also gave me many opportunities to preach and witness in their voice chat room. Around that time I met a great Christian guy named Jamie, who is now a great friend of mine. We were both witnessing to a group of Satanist in an AOL chat room called, "Satan Rules." We became great friends after that and started a chat room on Paltalk called, "Jesus' Disciples." He was one of the friends I talked to before I prayed and trusted Christ as my savior. I had been trying to serve God without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and with a spiritually dead heart, which wasn't working.(In other words, I wasn't born again) I lacked true power, cleansing and forgiveness of my sins.
I was very interested in Christian Apologetics and Creation Science. I read many articles, a few books and listened to a lot of audio seminars by people like: Josh Mcdowell,"More then a carpenter" Lee stroble, "The case for Christ" I listened to Dr. Kent Hovind's Creation science seminar online, which gave me a lot of useful information that has stayed with me. I then felt called into the ministry as a youth Pastor/teacher and enrolled into a Bible College through the mail, trusting the Lord to provide the money needed if it was his will. I knew God had gifted me with the spiritual gifts of teaching and preaching, but the College courses were not God's will for my life at the time.
I was very discouraged and felt like God wasn't going to use me, because I wasn't adequately trained in a Bible seminary.
I continued with my internet ministry and took on the title of "Internet Youth Evangelist." (Which was just a fancy name for an "Internet Missionary",basically what I am.). God then started using me to ministry to the youth of my Church.
I taught Vacation Bible school, gave the devotion for the youth group a few times and my wife and I helped teach the 5th-7th graders at Meadowlake Baptist Church. Now my wife and I are in charge of the Kid's Bible Club at South Center Baptist Church and I might be attending Arlington Baptist College in January 2004.
