the ride. Ignoring danger signs that were clearly posted, he jumped two six foot fences in order to retrieve his hat. What a horrible consequences for ignoring a warning sign and jumping two fences for a cheap hat.
This story is a horrible reminder of the consequences of sin in our live. God's word, like those warning signs and fences at Six Flags, warn us about the dangers of sin. Often Christians, chasing a cheap thrill, ignore God’s warning signs and jump the fences He puts in our way to protect us. Each verse in the Bible we ignore is like jumping over a six foot fence, which we do at our own risk.
We find a similar tragedy recorded in the Bible in the book of 2 Samuel chapters 11 & 12. The man was the great King David, who was hand-picked by the Lord to be King of Israel and the author of many of the Psalms.
One day, while chilling out on his roof, he looked down into a courtyard and saw a woman bathing; whom the Bible says was very beautiful. I'm sure the first warning sign pricked his conscious as he lusted after her, because David knew the law of God very well. He then sent someone to find out who she was and discovered that her name was Bathsheba: the wife of one of his soldiers. Ignoring this second “off-limits” warning sign, he used his influence to have her brought to Him and they slept together.

Hot Topics - Why Believe in God?.
adapted from Know Why You Believe by Paul Little

You're sitting in the cafeteria with a few people from your biology class. The talk around the table is going a little bit of everywhere and not much of anywhere. Somewhere in the conversation, between chatting about dates and a killer bio test, you casually mention the church retreat you attended last weekend. Someone asks, "You go to church?" Another asks, "You believe in God?" Another says bluntly, "I don't believe in God. How can anyone even know if there is a God?"
You listen uncomfortably as everyone else talks about how evolution disproves God. You leave the cafeteria feeling defeated, maybe even wondering if intelligent people really do believe in God. Yes, says Christian writer Paul Little, many intelligent people do believe in God—and with good reason. In this adaptation from Know Why You Believe, Paul offers some..

We Support The PAIS Project - Missionaries Passionately Making Missionaries
During the 2011 High School football season, I was given the tremendous opportunity to observe and work alongside two interns of the PAIS TEAMS in a local public High School.  The groups are comprised of ordianry young people who want to do extraordinary things for the Kingdom of God. They are spread out across the nation and the around the globe. Their mission is to train young missionaries, as they are serving their internships by providing them with  knowledge and experience. They then use what they’ve gained as they continue their lifelong mission, even after the program.
The apprenticeship is absolutely FREE.They provide lodging, food and supplies. You are assigned to a church and a school where you build friendships and help where needed. The ultimate goal is to help as you share your faith.
My experience with the PAIS TEAM completely changed my ministry forever. I saw the needs of today's young people upclose and personal. I also built relationships with the PAIS team members and the High School students. I saw the respectful attention the students gave, as we preached to them and prayed over them. I would encourage any young person to be apart of this ministry.  If you are interested in joining the Pais Team, please watch the following short video
